Lugia's Moonlit Cove

Power of Three

In the eastern sea of the Pokemon world, there was a place called the Kamaroh region.
In that region was a village of Pokemon called Froo.
In Froo there were many Pokemon homes.
In one of those homes was a bedroom.
In that bedroom there was a large, comfy orange bed.
In that bed was an extremely grumpy Eevee named Theo.
He had been awoken too early for his tastes by his mother, a Flareon that went by the name of Singe.
Theo was usually a very nice Eevee. He had been raised by his parents, who never had to punish him for anything because he never did anything bad. He liked to play outside on the shores of the bay with his friend Whitefyre, a Cyndaquil. Whitefyre's mother was a Typhlosion named Zeeri, and her father was an Arcanine named Flamestripe.
Whitefyre's mother and Theo's father had been best friends when they were smaller, and they were still. Theo and Whitefyre loved listening to their stories about how they had battled the Pokemon Of Darkness, fought through hordes of Chondon, and tangled with two nasty rabbit-like Pokemon. Of course, they hadn't done this alone. Their other friend, Dragonair, was with them too, and his son was a Grovyle who was very close to Whitefyre and Theo.
Theo's father was a Ninetales. His name was Cinch, and he had encountered both Mew and Mewtwo. They spoke to him regularly, because they were planning how to stop the Pokemon of Darkness once it broke out of its stone prison.
Theo (still extremely groggy) dragged himself out of bed and went downstairs. "Hey Cinch," (He was allowed to call his mother and father by their first names, he liked it this way) he said, "Can I go to the market and get some breakfast?" "Sure, Theo," Cinch replied. "Remember, don't eat too much, because  Dragonair invited us and Whitefyre's family to a party." As Theo walked out the door, he was filled with pleasant thoughts about the party.
He bought a half pound of Magikarp for his breakfast with fifteen leaves (Pokemon currency) and sat down under a tree to eat. Halfway through his meal, something huge and green dropped out of the tree in front of him. "Hi, Grovyle," Theo said. "What's up, Theo? Are you bringing something to the party tonight?" Grovyle inquired. "Yeah, Singe is making some Razz Berry pie. It's my favorite berry." Theo replied. "My favorite berry is an Aspear. I like to have twang in my food." Grovyle stated. "MY fave berry is a Figy," Whitefyre proclaimed as she waddled up to them. The three kept chatting as they started to walk towards the bay.
Bulbasaur Bay was a huge body of water that was about two miles wide and about four miles long. The River Lithe supplied most of its water, and some of the water came from the ocean. Froo was the village nearest to the bay. All of the bodies of water in Kamaroh were named after Pokemon.
When they got to the bay, they found Dragonair, Sceptile, Zeeri, and Arcanine setting up on the shores. "This is going to be so great! A party on the bay!" Whitefyre exclaimed. "My dad said we could take out the boat when it's darker." Grovyle said happily.
Soon Cinch and Singe arrived, and the party began.
The food was delicious. There were berry cakes, berry pies, poffins, pokeblocks, and other sweets; there was fried Magikarp, baked Barboach, and breaded Goldeen; there were salads with berries and bananas (from a kind Tropius who volunteered to give up a few) on them. Grovyle ate a few Pokeblocks and some salad, Whitefyre had some Poffins and some Goldeen, and Theo ate some Magikarp, Barboach, and Razz Berry Pie.
After the eating was the contest. There was an adult's division and a youth division. The six adults would battle each other (battling was a regular pastime in Kamaroh) and the three youths would battle each other. Whoever emerged as the winner would get a prize. Cinch faced Sceptile, Singe faced Zeeri, and Dragonair faced Arcanine.
Cinch's battle took place first. He took on battle stance and he unsceathed his claws. Sceptile crouched down to the ground and the sharp leaves on the sides of her arms folded out. "Sceptile, you don't have to go easy on me." Cinch said. "Good." Sceptile said, and with a cry, she flung herself at Cinch. Cinch's eyes glowed redder and redder. His claws turned red with heat. Then, he jumped at Sceptile, his hot claws scratching faster than full-speed fan blades. While he was ripping at Sceptile, he spat fire all over her. Sceptile winced, then leaves flew off of a nearby tree and glowed all colors of the rainbow. The leaves flew at Cinch, giving him many cuts. Cinch closed his eyes. Sceptile clapped her humanoid hands over Cinch and purple dust came out of them. The dust fell on Cinch, making him green. Then, Cinch's eyes shot open, glowing white. He opened his mouth, and a white ray of light as bright as the sun blasted out of it onto Sceptile. She fainted, for it is very hard to stay conscious when hit with Hyper Beam.
Cinch healed himself and Sceptile with the various medicines he had brought to the party. Then Singe walked into the ring. Zeeri followed. They said nothing, but Singe was suddenly engulfed in a ball of fire. Zeeri snorted, then ran at Singe. Singe blew fire at her, but Zeeri was quick; she dodged the fire, jumped over Singe, and tackled her, meanwhile her back blew up with fire into Singe's face. But Singe did nothing. For something was happening on the boat.
Cinch had taken Theo, Whitefyre, and Grovyle onto the boat while Zeeri and Singe were fighting. When they had gotten about a quarter mile out, something huge and black leapt from the water. Theo got a glimpse of a clock and a snout before the thing dragged him under. He heard a distant yell of "NOOOOO!!" and "THEOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" before he blacked out.
When he woke up, Theo was in a cave. Water was dripping from the walls and a few skeletons lay next to him. Realizing this, he jumped up, and looked around. There seemed to be a tunnel, but it was in the middle of the stony ceiling. How was he going to get out?
Suddenly, something that was light purple appeared and blasted a hole in the wall. Theo saw it stare at him, but he didn't know how, because it appeared and disappeared in the blink of an eye. He pushed this out of his mind and clambered out through the hole in the wall. It was a dead end. But there were some words on the dead end side of the wall. They read,
                                                      Welcome to the domain.
                                                       This is the place where
                                                    many Pokemon met their ends.
                                                          Some came to fight.
                                                            Others to change.
                                                         But one thing is certain
You are going to join them.
"That can't be good," Theo said aloud as he looked at another side of the walls. This one read(clearly scribbled by a Pokemon in distress),

                                                              SAVE YORSELF
USE FIR BLAST ON THE WALL TO YOUR RIGHT
THEN GO THRU THE TUNNEL AND HIT THE GROUND
WITH YOUR PAW AND GO THRU TH/\/\\DOFDAJ
So, this Pokemon was trying to save anyone who landed here in the future and it got attacked. Peachy. Just peachy, thought Theo. Then he turned to his right. He gasped as a large black fox with alligator teeth and two batlike wings flew out of the wall. "Hello, friend." it said. "I am The White Wolf."
"You're confused," it said, "You don't know what to think. Well, I am here to rescue you! Hop on me and we shall be off!" Theo was confused. "Are you sort of like Mewtwo when he rescues Pokemon?" he asked softly. "Mewtwo? No, no. Don't you know the Secret?" "Secret? What Secret?" Theo asked curiously. "The Secret. The Concealed Fact. The Thing That Mewtwo Doesn't Want You To Know. You see, Mewtwo is evil. He pretends to rescue Pokemon and then he destroys them. See that chicken scratch on the wall?" It pointed to the "save yorself" paragraph. "That Pokemon was a victim of Mewtwo."
Theo's head was full to the brim with questions and confusion. How could Mewtwo be evil? Then again, what other Pokemon could kill something in here? The White Wolf was obviously good, but something about him made Theo suspicious.
Then Theo made a choice. "I don't believe you," he said, and the black thing growled. "But you seem to be very nice. Can you take me back up to Bulbasaur Bay?" Cinch said quickly. "Of course, my friend. I am here to help." stated The White Wolf as it transformed into a huge black bird, and Theo jumped onto its back. It flew back into the room with the hole in the ceiling and flew up through it, soaring towards Bulbasaur Bay.

The bird dropped Theo off on the shore, and flew off. "Theo. THEO? HEY, GROVYLE, IT'S THEO!!!!!!" screamed Whitefyre as she ran up to him. Grovyle sprinted up next, followed by Cinch, Singe, Zeeri, Dragonair, Sceptile, and Arcanine. They all hugged him and asked him questions and told him how worried they were....etc. "How on EARTH did you do it???" Singe asked. Theo recounted his story of how he met The White Wolf, of how he read the scratches on the wall, and where he had been. Cinch was not happy. "Theo, we need to talk. Now." He led Theo away and began to talk.
"I am not angry at you. But you need to be CAREFUL. When I was a young and reckless Vulpix, I was decieved. That would have led to my undoing, if it weren't for Mewtwo." he growled. "But Cinch, The White Wolf said that Mewtwo was evil and that he hurt Pokemon." Theo whimpered. "That," Cinch snarled, "is a bunch of crap. Anyway, I don't think you should trust this 'White Wolf' guy. I had some bad experiences when I placed my trust in the wrong Pokemon..."

It had turned out that Cinch beat Zeeri, and Dragonair beat Cinch. So Dragonair's prize was 15 Berries,  a Super Potion, and a Burn Heal. After the party ended, everyone went back to their houses and slept...
except Cinch.
His mind was filled with worries and doubts. How on earth am I going to convince Theo that The White Wolf is evil? He has already placed his trust in him... And I feared this would happen when he came into the world.. The White Wolf is not good at all. thought Cinch. Finally, when he had finished thinking about this, he dropped off to sleep.
In the morning Cinch woke up to find a note from Theo on the door. "Cinch, I'm going out in the Boat with Whitefyre and Grovyle. Be back soon." it said. Cinch was unsettled.
At the bay, Grovyle, Whitefyre and Theo were having the time of their lives. They were talking happily, playing I Spy, playing cards, and every once in a while one of them would jump out of the boat and go swimming.
So, Theo jumped out and began to float around lazily in the water. Grovyle followed him in the boat. Then, Theo began to swim in circles. Faster and faster...until it dawned on Grovyle and Whitefyre. They were in a whirlpool.
Grovyle leaped out and swam like fury toward Theo, who was starting to go under. Whitefyre jumped out too (though this was extremely brave, she was a Fire type and this was very dangerous for her). She instantly fainted and started to sink. Desperate for help, Grovyle grabbed Whitefyre and attempted to toss her into the boat; but he missed. He tried using Vine Whip to wrap Theo and drag him to the boat, but something black leapt out of the water, like a breaching whale, and grabbed Theo as it went back down, snapping the vines. Grovyle gulped. This was not good.
Theo was attempting to scream, but no sound came out. He was being dragged down into the depths of the bay, going hundreds of feet below the surface. The black thing kept on breathing out bubbles for him to inhale so he didn't drown. Finally, the black thing took hhim into an underwater cave.
The cave was a trapped pocket of air. The black thing followed Theo into it and transformed into The White Wolf. "Greetings, Theodore. How are you?" it said in a calm voice, a smile on its snout. "Not very good at all," Theo spat. "And my name is not Theodore. It's Theo. Now, why do you keep grabbing me?" The White Wolf continued to smile. "I am saving you. I will take you back up to your lovely little house and I will leave you there, safe from any more harm." The White Wolf said in that calm voice. "What about Grovyle and Whitefyre??? They could be drowning right now!" Theo said anxiously. "Theo. Theo, Theo, Theo." said The White Wolf as it shook its head. "They are not your friends. I heard them talking about you. They were saying very nasty things, mind you, so I believe that you should rethink your choice of friends." The White Wolf said calmly. "Okay, fine, I will, but I have a question to ask." Theo said. "What is it, my friend?" The White Wolf said. Theo cleared his throat.
" *ahem* WHY ARE WE STANDING HERE WHILE MY SO-CALLED FRIENDS ARE DROWNING???? EVEN IF THEY AREN'T MY FRIENDS-" "Which they aren't-" "EVEN IF THEY AREN'T, WHY ARE WE CHATTING NICELY WHILE THEY ARE DROWNING??" Theo hissed in the White Wolf's face. "All right, my friend. Only because you are being brave."
After the quick ride through the bay, Theo and The White Wolf got to where Grovyle and Whitefyre were in the whirlpool. Grovyle was unconscious and Whitefyre was too. At the precise moment when Theo dived in to save them, The White Wolf vanished. Theo did not notice this and soon he had all of them back in the boat.
When they were safely back on the shore, The White Wolf appeared just as Theo turned around. Theo purred, "Ahh, it's you! Thanks for watching over me while I was saving them. And by the way, sorry I flared up at you back in the cave. My temper has been waiting to rise these past few days." The White Wolf smiled again. "Don't worry about it, Theo. All that matters is that you're safe." And then he vanished, with a different smile on his face; an evil grin that showed his alligator teeth.
After coming home and getting yet another lecture from  Cinch, Theo went to bed. He had a vivid dream about a black wolf swimming in the sea. It turned white and then it turned into Mewtwo, who said, "Theo, wake up." Then, as Theo woke up, he remembered a black thing leaping out of the lake at the party. Something wasn't right.
A few weeks passed peacefully. Theo practiced his fighting with Whitefyre and Grovyle. Whitefyre was almost ready to evolve. Grovyle was learning great moves. Theo wondered which stone he should use to evolve. He didn't mind Vaporeon, but he was thinking of becoming an Umbreon. Hmmm, he thought. Should I be an Espeon? They're very wise.... And each time he started thinking about this, he would get frustrated, and put it off until the next day, when he would do the same thing. Day after day, he would procrastinate.
One day Theo and Grovyle decided to enter in a tournament(Whitefyre was at home with Zeeri, being lectured about evolution). Theo was going against a particularly tough-looking Pidgeotto, and Grovyle was going to fight an angry Primeape.
A few minutes later, Grovyle walked onto the battlefield. He snarled at Primeape, who was getting so angry its veins started to stick out of its skin. The whistle blew and Primeape catapulted itself at Grovyle, who dodged the attack. The leaves on Grovyle's arms extended out and a green light surrounded them. Then Grovyle jumped onto Primeape and swiped at it with his arms. Leaf Blade didn't do much to Primeape except give it a few scratches, so it picked Grovyle up and jumped high into the air. When it was about twenty-five feet up, it dropped Grovyle, who used the last of his strength to use Absorb. Then Grovyle fell down, unconscious.
Theo gasped and, completely forgetting about his battle, scampered down to the field and started to beat on Primeape, who picked him up and flung him at the wall. With a nasty crunch, Theo hit the wall and crumpled onto the ground. A black thing (a wolf, now much more recognizable in the sunlight, as it was darker when Theo had seen it before) appeared to him and Teleported him away.
When Theo came to, he found that he was in the same cavern that he had been in when The White Wolf first appeared to him. As he looked around, however, he found that The White Wolf was gone, and that Grovyle and Whitefyre were sitting next to him. "This place is bizarre," Whitefyre said. "Ughh...That Primeape was not a happy camper.." Grovyle groaned. "By the way, Theo, do you know where this place is?" Theo quickly explained where they were.
"So... We have to use Fire Blast on some wall? That's good, 'cause my mom gave me the TM a few days ago." Whitefyre said. The three got up and limped over to the distressed Pokemon's message. It read,

                                                                SAVE YORSELF
USE FIR BLAST ON THE WALL TO YOUR LEFT
THEN GO THRU THE TUNNEL AND HIT THE LEFT WALL
WITH YOUR PAW AND GO THRU TH/\/\\DOFDAJ
Theo had a bad memory, thus, he said, "Alright Whitefyre, if you can do it, use Fire Blast on the wall."
Whitefyre nodded, then the green and the tan colors of her skin started to turn a few shades lighter. Then she opened her mouth and fire blasted out of it like a rocket engine. The wall crumbled. Then Theo walked through the hole in the wall and slammed his paw onto the left wall. It crumbled also.
The three walked through the hole in the wall.
A riddle was at the end of the tunnel. It read,
My first is in damp but not in wet,
my second's in flame but not in fire,
my third's in tree but not in leaf,
my fourth's in dank but not in moist,
my fifth's in envelope but not in letter,
my sixth's in bite but not in crunch,
my seventh's in sly but not in clever,
my eighth's in stream but not in brook.

After a few minutes of silence, Whitefyre said, "Aha! It's darkness!" And, as if on cue, the wall with the riddle on it crumbled and a huge room, large as a cathedral, stood before them. Theo, Grovyle, and Whitefyre walked into the room. The doorway sealed behind them, and Grovyle said, "Great.
We're trapped."
A low voice started to speak. "Greetings, friends. You are in the domain of a very powerful Pokemon. If you listen to what I say, I can get you out of here safely." Theo recognized that voice....
"It's the White Wolf!"
"Ah, you recognize me. Good. Good, good, good. But we musn't chat. You are in an extremely dangerous place. Mewtwo is known to appear here, and he will have our heads if we are caught!" Theo looked skeptical. "But Wolf, why do you always appear to me? It's getting sort of annoying..." Theo said. The White Wolf frowned and he growled. Then he forced his frown back into a smile, and he chuckled. "Theo, you are being foolish. Have you not noticed that I only appear when your life is in danger? But anyway, follow me to get out of here. I am not joking; Mewtwo will be here soon."
"You're dang right I will." a voice spoke. The White Wolf looked horrified.
The White Wolf spoke quickly. "Theo, he is here!! Mewtwo is here! Run for your life!!!" Then Mewtwo appeared and he held on to Theo and Whitefyre. "You have been decieved. Back away from this battle unless you want to be hurt badly. Back away!" Mewtwo hissed. Theo, Whitefyre, and Grovyle backed several feet away from Mewtwo, who now had The White Wolf pinned to the floor. To Theo's surprise, The White Wolf began to laugh.
"Hahahahahahaa....Those stupid creatures thought I was good. I have never seen one who was more easily decieved. Because, you see, Theo, I am not 'The White Wolf'." (It said this in a high mock voice). "I am Krakanar, The Ultimate Pokemon of Darkness, whose name has never been known until now! Theo has seen my in my wolf form, with the clock upon my chest and the grin upon my snout!"
And with that, it transformed into a thing with a head on its tail and a silver helmet on its other head. Claws unscheathed from its toes and as it opened its mouth, a black ball (which was not solid, it reminded Theo of a Gastly) flew out and went through Theo's head.
His mind filled of terrible thoughts, like doom and the world going into Krakanar's control. Then the thoughts ceased, and he saw Mewtwo put a white ball into Krakanar's head. It fell down and was unconscious. Mewtwo turned to face the three.
"You are very intelligent Pokemon. It was not your fault that you were decieved. Anyone would have been. Everyone makes mistakes. Even me." Mewtwo said. "Theo. Grovyle. Whitefyre. I assisted your parents when they had a similar experience. Grovyle, you were like your father. He was hesitant to believe that Mew appeared to him. Whitefyre, you were extremely brave. Although I know it didn't have to do much with Krakanar, jumping into the bay was very valiant. Especially for a Fire type.
And Theo....you need to work on your memory a bit." Mewtwo smiled. Theo, Whitefyre, and Grovyle laughed.
"Now I must Teleport you. Mewspeed, young ones!"
And with that, they were gone.
Cinch, Singe, Zeeri, Arcanine, Dragonair, and Sceptile were waiting for them in the square. "Theo! Are you okay?" Cinch said anxiously. "Yeah, I'm fine, Cinch. Guess what?" "What?" Cinch replied. Theo recounted the story of them being in the underwater cave.
After Theo finished, Cinch said, "Theo, I have decided. I believe you should evolve. Choose your evolution and I will obtain a stone for you." Theo was silent for several minutes. Then he said, " A Water Stone, Father. I want to be a Vaporeon."
And so, Theo evolved into a Vaporeon. He and his friends leveled up, learned new skills, and had a lot of battle experience. Soon they were almost strong enough to challenge their parents. Even if they beat each other, they never got angry at one another. They told their story many times, and they were happy with their lives. Krakanar had been put to sleep, with two Butterfree always Sleep Powdering him whenever he stirred. All was well.
