Lugia's Moonlit Cove Lugia Rising |
|||||
The water is flying
into the air and forming a cyclone. I grasp my Mantine tighter as a jagged
wave strikes us. I shouldn’t have
Surfed. The cyclone is now
a huge water tornado, supported by the unknown power inside of it. What could be controlling it? And then the thought
hits me. I know exactly
what is causing this storm. “Hold on, Tsunami!
You can do this.” I say to my Mantine. It must be hard for him to keep us from sinking into the abyss of dark water.
I begin to shiver from the bitter wind biting into my wet skin. My thoughts are interrupted
by a gigantic white thing burst out of the ocean, creating a monstrous wave that almost rocked me off of Tsunami. The white thing slows
in midair, then begins to drop back down toward the sea. As I catch a better glance at it, I whisper the word out loud. “Lugia.” I slap my Bag down
onto Tsunami and begin to fish through it. Oh, why can’t I find it when I need
it most? “Items pocket…no… Medicine pocket…no…..Aha!” I raise my hand into the air,
triumphantly holding the small purple ball. The Master Ball. I had been saving it
for my favorite Legendary. And the time was now. Lugia flies out of
the waves again, drenching us both with salty seawater. It dropped back into the dark abyss again, and I readied the Master
Ball. Then the great Legendary
breaches. I hurl the Master Ball at it, and tell Tsunami to begin to Surf forward so that I can snatch the ball out of the
ocean when Lugia is caught. There is a flash of
red light, and I cover my eyes with a hand as the Master Ball pulls Lugia inside. It resists, but it is futile. The Master
Ball catches all. Thank Gosh, all Poké Balls are hollow, and thus they float. I think as my Mantine speeds up towards the little
magenta sphere. We reach it in a matter
of seconds and I grab the ball out of the sea. My brain still wasn’t processing the fact that I now have Lugia in my
possession. The one and only Lugia, the only Pokémon of its kind. Lugia is mine.
